Adipurush Review (Telugu 2D)

Adipurush, directed by Om Raut, is an adaptation of the epic Indian mythology, Ramayana. Starring Prabhas as Lord Ram and Kriti Sanon as Sita, the film aims to retell the classic tale in a contemporary manner. While the movie has some positives, it also has its share of shortcomings.

The first half of Adipurush is decent, providing a promising start to the story. Prabhas, in his portrayal of Lord Ram, steals the show with his powerful screen presence and commendable performance. The film’s background score by Ajay-Atul adds depth and enhances the viewing experience, serving as a highlight throughout.

However, it becomes evident that the film heavily leans on Om Raut’s perspective, which may not resonate with everyone. It is disheartening to note that, despite a six-month improvement period, Adipurush falls short in certain areas. The second half heavily relies on the war sequences, demanding top-notch VFX, which the film fails to deliver. This lack of improvement in the visual effects department is a significant letdown for viewers.

Adipurush might appeal more to the younger generation who may find enjoyment in its contemporary storytelling style and cartoon graphics. However, the film’s weak graphics and uneven execution may hinder its overall impact.
